Ok. Here I am with another jewel! I have passed this location hundreds of times, when they have the 'B' street car show, parked right in front of it but never noticed this gem! When you walk into the front entrance, it's small and quaint but when you walk pass the front desk it just opens up into this transformation that takes you back to the streets of Italy. I was so enamored by the beauty, and how picturesque the inside of the restaurant was, I could barely contain myself to sit down and order a meal. if you didn't know from the front outside or someone introducing you this wonderful place to eat, you would not even know that it exist. The service was impeccable. The food was impeccable and scrumptious. The presentation was so inviting and tantalizing. You couldn't wait to dig in. I started my meal with fried calamari, light and tasty. I promise you the experience will be well worth it and you'll want to bring others to this restaurant so they experience what you experienced. I hate to say it, but I think I will have to sneak to this restaurant with my friends or alone, but it is so worth it. I can't wait to introduce it to my husband. I had a wonderful short ribs with a delectable gravy served with polenta and fresh squash. It was delightful to complement the meal with a raspberry lemon drop that was rimmed with wonderful, sweet sugar that was a so paired right to my meal. I ended my meal with a crème brûlée, which was just scrumptiousdelious I hated to be greedy, but I ate every bite. I highly recommend it, and I delight to say to anyone go there you will not be disappointed. Bonasera!

I loved: $29 Fettuccini Gamberetti I liked: Espresso Martini + (Off menu) Steak and Lobster Fettuccini has great bold flavor. It is "heavy" so expect to be very full. The steak has a great port sauce and cooked perfectly medium rare, I liked that a lot but the lobster was kinda tasteless even with the butter. Recommend you just get the steak. The Espresso Martini hides the alcohol flavor well which is a + in my book. It does look like they increased their prices for Mother's Day which, ehh, I get but if you're an informed eater, means you should just come on a non holiday. The restaurant itself was cute, our group was in its own corner so noise wasn't an issue. Service was slow for the restaurant being half filled. They took 15 minutes to complete any requests but it was done well and water was always topped off.

What a great little place in Hayward! I don't want the word to get out! I had the fish special, parole of sole, it was excellent! The manager came to the table and spoke in Italian with my brother in law. That's all I'm saying.

Very good food at this restaurant. Ordered over the phone 40 minutes before closing. Fettuccine Alfredo, half water, spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread with extra butter on the bread. I was surprised that the half order was the same price as the full order. But it was explained to me the the half order didn't come with chicken so it was cheaper. However, the half order was a pretty small portion for $18. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs because that's what my daughter likes "spaghetti" .... I was given fettuccine with meatballs. The meatballs were very bland. Just seemed like meat with no seasoning ,and the sauce really not much flavor. The sauce is just alright , a very basic marinara.. The Alfredo will always be my go to that in the creamy pesto Alfredo is very good, rich, and creamy just like how Alfredo should be. Garlic bread is basically a small loaf of French bread top half and bottom half , well seasoned with herbs pepper, red pepper and Parmesan cheese. My top portion of bread was very dry. However my bottom portion of Bread had all the extra butter that I ordered and very delicious. .

I was craving some pasta and decided to come here. I have hear many great things about this place and it was true! This place is a must try for pasta around Hayward! I will be coming back here again.

To celebrate my birthday, I decided to try out this restaurant that's been on my to visit list for a while. Upon entering this restaurant me and my friend were seated pretty quickly. We were served complementary bread, which was absolutely divine, especially the focaccia. Our server was very nice and would often check on us to see if we were still doing okay. She even brought us complementary dessert for my birthday. We ended up ordering the fettuccine pesto and cannelloni al forno. The pesto sauce on the fettuccine was delicious! From the moment they brought out the dish I can tell the sauce was going to be delicious. The pesto coated the noodles evenly and it was topped with pine nuts. The pesto wasn't overly oily and it was nutty yet herby, everything you want in a good pesto. My only gripe with the dish was that the chicken was really dry and over cooked. The Cannelloni al Forno was exceptional, it was cheesy, tangy from the marinara, and creamy. I loved the béchamel sauce that coated the pasta, it was so rich in flavor. I've never had veal before so I wasn't sure what to expect but I couldn't really taste the meat in this dish? I'm not sure if veal just has a subtle taste or if the dish is lacking in the veal. All in all I would go here again to try the other pasta dishes and maybe order some antipasti and the tiramisu next time.

Food is delicious, pasta is so fresh! Love the complimentary bread too ! Service - great ! Ambiance- smaller tables. Darker lighting. Romantic atmosphere , perfect spot for dates ! Clean! Parking is the only iffy thing

Favorite place to get lasagna!! Friendly wait staff. And was sweet to our daughter. We ordered a cup of clam chowder to share and it was a good size for my husband and I (since we also ordered our own dinner plates). The lasagna is huge!!! Lots of meat and lots of cheese!! The sauce is tasty. I always have enough to take home and still good the next day! We ordered the half order of butter noodles for my daughter and of course she loved it. It wasn't too oily and the seasoning was light and good. My husband ordered the chicken piccata. Very creamy and the polenta was delicious!

Turkey Day 2023 update. It was Thanksgiving and my husband and I wanted to enjoy ourselves out for dinner instead of cooking at home. Let me tell you that Acqua E Farina knows how to do holidays right when it comes to accommodating people inside the restaurant. My husband and I arrived early from our ride and they graciously took us in early from our Open Table reservation. We were seated promptly and everything was good to go from there. Our drink orders came out right away and then we had our food order promptly taken. Throughout this whole process I noticed staff working left and right around the clock to get to other customers and their hard work and perfection shows. When the food came out it looked real delicious. Porterhouse Steak and Porkchops. And a Tiramisu to go I might add :) And it was not too busy around 4pm so we got there right when we needed to. On a side note, we walked around B Street to see if it was busy and almost everything along B Street were closed, same with Main St. But it's to be expected for the holidays One more Acqua E Farina outings for the holiday books. We enjoyed ourselves very thoroughly.

My husband and I went here for date night on a Friday night, around 8pm. Lots of people still eating at the restaurant, despite it being an hour before closing! I can tell there were a few big parties there as well. We both ordered the clam chowder to share, which was one of the specials, and we each ordered a fettuccine dish. Clam chowder came out within 10 mins of ordering, along with complimentary bread. The clam chowder was warm, not hot, when it came out and it didn't taste much different than something I reheat out of a can so was a bit disappointed since it was something on their specialty menu. The complimentary bread was dry and also disappointed so we did not get any refills. Note that the menu states that after two refills of complimentary bread, you have to pay $3 for each additional basket! It took about 30 mins to get our pasta. There were a few tables that were having their appetizers when we came in and they didn't get their entrees for a long time as well. I wish the pasta portions were bigger! Otherwise the sauce was good. When they give you your order, they ask if you'd like some grated cheese! The highlight of our experience was the customer service - our server was attentive, checked in on us, and gave us updated on when we can expect our food to arrive! If I could, I would rate our experience 3.5 stars that night.
